Beunite organized two full day-team building events for 40 corporate delegates from DB Schenker at Beyond Limit’s Challenge Park in Satahip, South of Pattaya in April 2014.
Beyond Limits is a challenge park located near Pattaya and can be reached by car with a two and a half hours ride from Bangkok. The Beyonds Limit Challenge Park consists of a number of hair raising pursuits including rock climbing walls, swings, suspended ladders, zip lines and more. Safety is of paramount importance and each visitor is belayed and harnessed to ensure there is no risk of injury. The Beyond Limits Challenge Park is an exciting and powerful way to foster team development and personal growth for businesses, schools and community groups. The Beyond Limits Challenge Park is designed to teach participants important life skills of leadership, problem solving, decision making, cooperation, and communication.
Team Building Objectives
Objective was to create a personal development, leadership and team building programme to enhance team bonding and co-operation.
Team Building Activities / games
The day started at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit at 7 a.m. in the hotel lobby. Thanawit cocha, a 55-seater luxury coach was ready for boarding on time. During the trip, the delegates were asked to reflect about their personal reasons for committing to team success. One by one, delegates were asked to present their case under suspicious supervision of the leadership coach.
Arriving at the beautiful shaded property of Beyond Limits in Pattaya, a safety briefing was conducted. Safety was of paramount importance during the entire trip and each visitor was belayed and harnessed to ensure there was no risk of injury.
The delegates were split into three teams and each team has a safety expert on their side.
All delegates went through five major challenges, Pole Dancer, Shaky Knees, Climbing wall, Giant Swing and Flying Fox with commando course challenges on the side.
At the Pole Dancer station, delegates were asked to climb up to the top of a vertical pole, stand on the platform and then jump and catch a rope. Delegates were all safety secured on a rope at all time.
At the Shaky Knees station, the challenge was to cross from one platform to another on a wobbly hanging bridge high above the ground, A huge amount of concentration is needed to keep balance and only the courageous succeeded.
The climbing wall is two sided on one side you climb up on the other side you abseil on your own. Again, you are well safety secured at all times.
Then, the course proceeded to the The Flying fox station. High above ground and attached to a rope, team members were sliding along from one platform to another.
Completing the Giant Swing challenge was a leadership challenge of high magnitude. Attached to two ropes delegates were swinging down one by one.
Each activity took about 5-10 minutes to complete with the entire team going through within about 3 hours.
Lunch was served outdoor under a giant Banyan Tree.
The team headed back to Bangkok at about three thirty by coach and arrived at Sofitel Bangkok just on time for their dinner.
